Complaints
If the service provided by the licensee is unsatisfying, and if you feel the same after you have informed to the licensee or they do not respond in time, you can bring the complain to Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka.
Complaint Handling Procedure

Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka will provide you free , independent and impartial service. We can get the supplier to:

  • Correct the problem
  • Respond to you and explain the issue
  • In some cases, make a financial reward.

Once you bring the Complaint to us, we follow the Complaint Resolution Procedure to resolve your complaint.

You can bring the complaint to PUCSL via following means.

Complaint Vs Dispute

A complaint is the dissatisfaction about the electricity supply or services provided by your service provider.

A dispute is the disagreement between you and your service provider about the electricity supply or services provided to you.

If you disagree with the resolution of the service provider it creates a dispute between you and the service provider. PUCSL act on dispute resolution and as per the Dispute Resolution Procedure.
