Proposed Electricity Tariff Revision – 2026 4th Quarter
National System Operator (NSO) has submitted the Bulk Supply Cost proposal for the 4th Quarter of 2026, on October 07, 2026. In terms of the Section 29 (2) and Section 29 (3) of Sri Lanka Electricity Act No. 36 of 2024 (Amended), the Commission has initiated the review of NSO proposal to determine the electricity tariffs for the 4th quarter of 2026. In terms of Section 17(b) of Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act, No. 35 of 2002, and Section 29(10) of Sri Lanka Electricity Act No. 36 of 2024 (Amended), the Commission wishes to consult the stakeholders, on the above submission and the quarterly tariff review. All written stakeholder comments shall be sent to the Commission on or before November 05, 2026, via email, fax or post. The information on the oral consultation sessions will be provided in due course.
