In accordance with Section 30 of the Electricity Act No. 20 of 2009, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has decided to seek public opinion (stakeholder consultation) regarding the revision of electricity tariffs proposed by the distribution licensee (Ceylon Electricity Board) for the year 2024.
The electricity tariff proposal submitted to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka by the Ceylon Electricity Board is being reviewed and the related consultation document can be accessed via website www.pucsl.gov.lk
Written comments and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders regarding the proposed electricity tariff revision will be accepted till February 12th, 2024. The oral session of the pubic consultation will be held on February 15th, 2024 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo. Call 071 862 2800 for registration to participate for the oral public consultation.
This public consultation is conducted in terms of the powers assigned to the Commission under Section 17 of the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission Act No. 35 of 2002.
