Under the first phase of this program, an expedited initiative is currently underway to provide National Vocational Qualification Level 3 (NVQ3) certification free of charge to experienced electricians.

All electricians with more than 1 year and 6 months of professional experience are eligible to apply.

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with other partners, will cover examination fees, training expenses, and the cost of examination materials for the final assessment. You have the flexibility to choose a convenient district for both training and assignments.

To apply, please send your name and district to 0764271030 via WhatsApp

Register online at facebook.com/PUCSL or www.pucsl.gov.Ik

Upon successful completion of NVQ3 or achieving a higher qualification, identity card will be issued to recognize your accomplishment.

Steps have been taken to offer NVQ3 free of charge for experienced technicians in the following areas too.

  • Solar Technicians
  • Plumbers
  • Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians
  • Carpenters (Specializing in Roof Installation)
  • Welders/Painters

The empowerment and standardization of technician’s program aims to ensure electricity safety, promote electricity conservation, encourage the use of renewable energy, and contribute to the conservation of water and the environment.
