PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF SRI LANKA
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) was established by the Act No. 35 of 2002 as a multi-sector infrastructure regulator in the country. With the enactment of the Sri Lanka Electricity Act No. 20 of 2009, PUCSL became the economic, safety and technical regulator of the Electricity industry.
PUCSL seeks dynamic and result-oriented professionals to fill the following positions.
Reporting relationship:
Deputy Director General- Industries
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university by the University Grant Commission and
- A Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant field and
- Minimum of 15 years post-qualifying experience (from the graduation of a Bachelor’s Degree) in power utility with the generation, transmission, and distribution facilities or 12 years of utility Regulatory Experience.
- Having a legal background and experience in a Power Purchase Agreement is an added advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university by the University Grant Commission and
- Charter in Electrical Engineering and
- A Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant field and
- Minimum of 15 years post-qualifying experience (from graduation of Bachelor’s Degree) in the electricity industry or 12 years of utility Regulatory Experience. Experience in Testing & commissioning, safety auditing, and power system software will be an added advantage.

Qualification & Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Finance/Economics from a recognized university by the University Grant Commission or equal professional qualification in finance, and
- A post-graduate Degree in a relevant field and
- Minimum of 15 years of post-qualifying experience (from graduation of Bachelor’s Degree) in large utility management in financial matters or 12 years of utility regulation experience.

Qualifications & Experience
- Attorney-at-Law with Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university by University Grant Commission of Sri Lanka and
- Should be a notary public with the license to practice in both Sinhala and English language
- Should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in handling all types of legal work including litigation, institutional law, contract law and dispute resolution, or 08 years of utility regulatory experience
- Preference will be given to candidates possessing a Master of Laws (LLM)

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/ Mass Media/ Media Arts Production Technology from a recognized university by the UGC of Sri Lanka (English Medium)
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualifying experience in corporate communications, public relations or journalism
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Experience in blog writing, corporate report writing, social media content development and web administration

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university by the UGC of Sri Lanka
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualifying experience in corporate communications, public relations, event management
- Strong skills in gathering and compiling data
- Proven skills in report writing and presentations
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
