In accordance with Section 30 of the Electricity Act No. 20 of 2009, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has decided to seek public opinion (stakeholder consultation) regarding the revision of electricity tariffs proposed by the distribution licensee (Ceylon Electricity Board) for the year 2023.
The proposed electricity tariff revision submitted by the Ceylon Electricity Board and the related consultation document can be accessed via the official website www.pucsl.gov.lk
Written comments and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders regarding the proposed electricity tariff revision will be accepted till 25th June 2023. The oral pubic consultation on the same will be held on 26th June 2023 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

The approved electricity tariffs will be published on 30th June 2023 and will be effective from 01st July 2023.
This public consultation is conducted in terms of the powers assigned to the Commission under Section 17 of the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission Act No. 35 of 2002.
