PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PRICING AND COSTING OF FUEL USED FOR ELECTRICITY GENERATION

(Public Notice under Section 18 of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act No. 35 of 2002)

 

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (“the Commission”) hereby notifies its decision to hold a Public Hearing on the Pricing and Costing of Fuel used for Electricity Generation.

 

The determination of the Public Hearing will include, but not limited to, findings on the pricing and costing of fuel used for electricity generation and its impact on electricity tariffs, as well as any other relevant matters arising in relation to the implementation of FSAs for thermal power plants.

 

The stakeholders and the general public are hereby invited to submit written submissions, if any, on the impacts, issues, or any other relevant information related to the pricing and costing of fuel used for electricity generation. The Commission may take these submissions into consideration and, if necessary, summon the respective parties to provide oral evidence at the hearing.

 

This Public Hearing is held under and by virtue of powers vested with the Commission under Section 18 of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act No 35 of 2002 and the Date, Time and Venue will be informed to the Public in due course.
