Formulate Procedure for Detecting Adulteration of Petroleum Fuels

Request for Expressions of Interest

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) hereby invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified parties to formulate a procedure for detecting the adulteration of petroleum fuels, to be recommended to the Ministry of Power & Energy.

The aforesaid procedure should address, amongst others, the following:
1. Identification of the quality of petroleum fuels against Sri Lanka Standards or international standards identified by the Government;
2. Identification of adulteration of petroleum fuels, including the presence of kerosene in petrol and diesel; and
3. Institution of legal actions against relevant parties for import, sale, supply or distribution of substandard petroleum fuels.

EOIs must be submitted by 3:00 pm, 02nd April 2020
