TECHNO ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY STUDY ON DEMAND RESPONSE(DR) OPPORTUNITIES

Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) hereby call for Expressions of Interests (EOI) from the interested
parties to conduct a techno-economic feasibility study on Demand Response opportunities in Sri Lanka.
The study is aimed to find out the feasible projects that could be used to ensure sufficient capacity during peakload
hours, to provide resources during system emergencies, to provide energy services that primarily enhance
efficient price formation and also enhance reliable operation of the system, to attain environmental benefits
result from DR’s ability to facilitate the integration of renewable resources.

The interested parties are required to submit the following;

a. Names and CVs of the experts showing relevant expertise and experience in the area,
b. Identification of resource requirements (cost estimate); number of assistants and budgets, etc
c. Indication of time required to complete the work and the expected starting date,
d. Suggestions on the scope of work that may enhance the utility of the output,

PUCSL will extend best possible assistance in collecting required data from the electricity utilities.
The deadline for the submission of EOIs is the 14th July 2021. Preference will be given to proposal submission
by a consortium of academics from different universities. EOI shall be send to info@pucsl.gov.lk and the
