We are an independent regulator and constantly engage our stakeholders in the decision-making process.

How We Work

We are established by The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act No. 35 of 2002 by the Parliament of Sri Lanka to perform as a multi sector regulatory body.

PUCSL’s powers are provided under:

  • The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act No. 35 of 2002
  • Sri Lanka Electricity Act No. 20 of 2009
