(Notice published under Section 17 of Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission Act No. 35 of 2002)

 

In accordance with Section 30 of the Electricity Act No. 20 of 2009, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has decided to seek public opinion (stakeholder consultation) regarding the revision of 02^nd electricity tariffs proposed by the distribution licensee (Ceylon Electricity Board) for the year 2024.

 

The electricity tariff proposal submitted to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka by the Ceylon Electricity Board is being reviewed and the related consultation document can be accessed via the website www.pucsl.gov.lk

 

Written comments and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders regarding the proposed electricity tariff revision will be accepted till July 08^th, 2024. The oral session of the public consultation will be held on July 09^th, 2024 at the Colombo.

 

This public consultation is conducted in terms of the powers assigned to the Commission under Section 17 of the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission Act No. 35 of 2002.

 

After completion of the public consultation, The Commission will announce the final tariff decision on July 15^th, 2024.
