In carrying out the functions assigned, the Commission may conduct a regulatory review to consult with stakeholders on important regulatory issues of particular significance to the electricity industry. The regulatory review process will generally include obtaining of information with the issuing of a data request to the relevant parties, inviting written comments by publishing of an Issue Paper that will set out the context for the review including the key issues to be decided, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to comment by publishing a Consultation Paper describing the Commission's initial thoughts based on the analysis to date, preparing of a Staff Opinion setting out the recommendations of the Secretariat that may be published for further comments by stakeholders and/or issuing of the decision of the Commission.
