Public Consultation on Introducing Regulatory Measures for Water Fittings (Water Closet (Cisterns), Water Draw Off Taps and Stop Valves Metal & PVC)
Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) was established in 2002 by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Act, No. 35 of 2002 as the regulator for Electricity, Water Services and Petroleum industries.
PUCSL has prepared requlatory measures for water fittings in Sri Lanka with a view to create an enabling environment, to facilitate the participation of other regulatory agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure that only quality water fittings are manufactured in Sri Lanka, imported to Sri Lanka, and available for purchase in Sri Lankan market.
The draft consultation paper is now available at www.pucsl.gov.lk. A printed copy of it also is available for reference at the information centre of PUCSL. Comments, suggessions and recommandations on the same are invited from stakeholders and the general public in writing on or before 27th March 2019.
The oral representations of the Public Consulattion will be held on Wednesday 27th March 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Cinema Lounge of Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo 7.
