Ceylon Electricity Board, Lanka Electricity Company Private Limited joins hands with Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka to implement newly introduce regulations

Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka held a workshop for Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company Private Limited (LECO) today (28) to discuss the implementation plan of newly gazetted four regulations in the areas of customer satisfaction in service, quality well as electrical safety and energy conservation.
These regulations were recommended to the Minister of Power & Renewable Energy and gazetted in July 2016 are now in effect.
The Regulations include,
Electricity (Distribution) Performance Standards Regulations;
Electricity (Transmission) Performance Standards Regulations;
Electricity (Safety, Quality & Continuity) Regulations; and
Utility-Driven Demand Side Management (DSM) Regulations.
