The five-member Commission is appointed by the Minister in charge of Policy Development with the agreement of the Constitutional Council. The Members of the Commission will serve a five-year term and must include at least one member from each of the professions; engineering, law and business management.

Mr. Gamage was enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law in the year 1991 and is a practising Lawyer in the Magistrate’s Courts Colombo for the last 21 years. He had served as a member of the Director Board of Building Materials Corporation Ltd. from 1994 to 1996.
He served as the Secretary of the Magistrate’s Court Lawyers’ Association for the period 2000 to 2001 and held the portfolio of the President of the same association in 2008 and 2009.
